note: Utility power cable is a subsegment of power cable. It used to be a captive market for copper, but copper in this application has reduced significantly over the past decades. Currently, copper is sparsely used for power grids e.g. in Europe, India and North America. In other jurisdictions such as China, Japan or Middle East, copper remains in use but comes increasingly under pressure.
